We know how important it is to be relaxed, especially when you are driving down to use from different parts of the UK, to be able to get a full nights sleep and that's why we make sure you only get the best with our accommodation as part of our course and it sleeps up to 2 people. per unit or our holiday cottage can sleep up to 6 people. The accommodation is included in the price and it yours for 7 nights even if you finish your 5 days of training in 3 days. The rest of the time is yours to relax and enjoy.

Class Room Locksmith Training UK
We can tach up to 6 per class. This allows the student to absorb as much information as possible at a rate that works best for that student.
We do our best to put the quality of the training and student over the quantity of students, we wont take on 10 or 16 in a class like other locksmith courses in the UK.

All training is hands on in the lock lab, from fitting locks to UPVC to stripping down multi point doors all the way to joinery and fitting mortice locks to new wood.

You will be also going out in site to cottages, caravans and more and training on real doors and buildings.
Real Door Training!
Its important that you train on real world doors, windows and more and that's why we train on real doors and windows and locks and not just locks in a lock lab. Our site is a commercial holiday park that has every kind of lock you will find in the UK from our games room with arcades to the office with safes, cash boxes and filing cabinets to the cottage with UPVC, patio does and UPVC windows through to composite to our bar with shutters, shutter bolts, fire doors to disabled toilets and radar key entry. From wooden doors and lever locks to UPVC and composite with multi points. We have it all to train on in real time..
Hands on Locksmith Training UK
Theory is vital but we will cover that online with a pre-course before you arrive to bring you up to speed on things like common terms, how to use the tools, types of locks and how they work and fail and so much more. But once we are onsite we will be putting our hands on the tools. This will be mastering the skills of fitting locks to wood, such as using your new tools like the mortice jig to make a 5 lever lock system.

You will be hands on when it comes to our Multi point UPVC part of the course as we strip down full gearboxes and learn how they work and fail and how we bypass them to repairing and replacement of gearboxes and parts.

Its all hand son, from picking to decoding , fitting and more!
What's Included in the Locksmith Course?
The 5 day locksmith course with 7 nights accommodation in Newquay Cornwall. Our courses start with a at home training section which is the foundation course and its studied using our online video archive with access to all documents, eBooks and the training portal. You then attend your 5 days of locksmith training in Newquay Cornwall for one to one training. Once you have completed the hands on section its back home to the home study program for plenty of practice time. Here you will strip down your own doors, pick your own locks along with making mortice lock jigs and much more. By the time you have worked your way through the advanced home study sections you will be ready to take on work.

The LFA1 is a foundation course that's undertaken before you arrive on site, its a home study course that will have you up to speed or at an apprentice level ready for the hands on sections. Its a two week pre course studied at home with e-learning or distant learning and one to one video training with your instructor.

This is the UPVC course for working on all parts of UPVC and multi point doors. You will learn all aspects of servicing doors, removing mechanisms, repairing mechanisms, sizing to gaining entry all the way through to toe and Heeling UPVC doors. Its all hands on tools and will give you a level 1, level2, and level 3 in UPVC, Multi Point, Composite doors and mechanisms.
Locksmith Fitters Course

The fitters course is as it sounds a fitting course. Its all about fitting locks and hardware. From fitting home safes to key box wall mounted outdoor safes to resizing existing mortise lock holes to fitting and exchanging parts o night latch systems to learning how to fit cylinder locks, handles, bolts, haps and much more!
Mortice and Joinery

The mortice and joinery course is a course dedicated to fitting of mortice locks to new doors using skills to make a perfect job that's worthy of being paid for. You will also be fitting rim cylinders and night latches to new wood along with mortice cylinder locks which are found on fire doors and HMO properties. You will also be using fire rated hardware, intumescent strips, wraps and wood fillers plus much more.
Lock Picking Standard Cylinders

Worth £600 on its own!
This course will have you picking all standard cylinder locks from British Standard 6 pin cylinders found on doors to padlocks found in the commercial setting to residential locks. You will learn how to use your new lock picking tools, tension bars and tension placement, how cylinder locks work and how they are picked by hand and with the aid of EPG's Electronic Pick Guns plus much more.
Lock Picking High Security and Dimple Cylinders
GMLUK Levels 1, 2 & 3 Hands on, part of the 5 day course with further home study after the course.

You will now enter in to the high security section of lock picking as we set about picking 1 star cylinder locks and advancing to 3 star cylinder locks, pin in pin telescopic systems to magnetic pin systems such as Mul-T-Lock, to KABA, Yale Triple Platinum's, Ultion and much more. You will be learning to hand pick these locks using your new tools to learning about pick decoders and our own methods know as the Taylor Methods.
Residential Locksmithing

The residential locksmith course is all about the locks, hardware, components found in the residential setting. Its about why they fail, how to deal with failed issues, locked out, locked in issues to fire regulations, fire rated hardware to HMO homes of Multiple Occupancy and laws, insurance regulations pertaining to hardware and identification of hardware for insurance identification.
Commercial Locksmithing

The commercial locksmith course again is about all the locks, hardware, components found in the commercial setting and deals with all kinds of issues such as lock outs /lock in, failed parts to heavy duty hardware, fire escape locks and hardware, fire regulated items, fitting and repairs to fire rated doors along with shutters, shutter bolts and locks, shutter switches, safes, cash boxes, filing cabinet locks. The safes section is new for 2025/2026 students. We have now added a Safe Engineer level 3 course to the package. We will cover every kind of safe you will find in a residential setting and the most common commercial safes from combination safes, 6, 7, 9, 12 level locks, cross locks, tubular lock safes to digital safes, gun cabinets, learning to pick the locks by hand, using advanced hearing devices to hear what's happening inside the safe along with specialist cameras and much more.
Auto Locksmith Training

We have added a auto entry course where you can learn to use Lishi picks to pick auto locks on cars, vans, trucks and motorcycles to learning how to decoded auto locks for key cutting. This is an introduction to auto locksmithing and you will be bale to gain entry to all VAUGE cars, that's BMW, VW, Audi, along with Skoda to Porsche, Mercedes to Fords, Volvo, Citron, Land Rover, and much more along with many other auto locks such as dealing with steering locks, roof box locks, caravan door locks, hitch locks, wheel clamps and much more! This course cost £1200 on its own!
By the end of the budget 5 day locksmith training UK course, you will have a level 3 award in locksmithing. But we will also enrol you into our aftercare and competency course. This helps prevent skill fade and stops you from forgetting everything you have learned.

The Budget 5 Day Locksmith Course gives you 7 nights of accommodation in a holiday park static rental at our site called Trethiggey Holiday Park. The same place you will be training at and working on the doors and locks of the park. Learning on a real and trading business.
Your accommodation is is 4 birth holiday rental shared between 2 people, a bedroom each, shared bathroom and communal areas.. All our vans are from 2023 so they are all brand new and super clean. We also offer a private accommodation and private pet friendly option for up to 2 dogs at a further £200.

This means you can bring your dogs or family along for the adventure. While you train the kids can enjoy the use of the games room, play park, 3 lakes and 21 acres of wildlife. We are only a mile away from the town centre and world famous surf beaches with there perfect blue waters, Cornish palm trees and dolphins.

At the end of our village road we have 3 Cornish pubs all serving the best in local foods and drinks. This course also includes a two course meal for the locksmith and up to 3 drinks.
